Swedish
The best-known type of massage, and the foundation for sports massage, deep tissue massage, aromatherapy massage, and other popular massages. It includes the manipulation of the superficial layers of the muscles to stimulate circulation, flush the circulatory system, release tight muscles, restore range of motion, and relieve pain. Prices: 60 Min. – $85; 90 Min. – $115; 120 Min. – $150 Deep Tissue Based on the Swedish Massage, deep tissue massage uses firm pressure and slow strokes to reach deeper layers of muscle. It's used for chronic aches and pain, as well as stiff neck and upper back, low back pain, leg muscle tightness, and sore shoulders. Prices: 60 Min. – $95; 90 Min. – $130 Hot Stone During a hot stone massage, smooth, flat, heated stones are placed on specific parts of your body. The stones are usually made of basalt, a type of volcanic rock that retains heat and are heated to between 130 and 145 degrees. This massage is great for helping relieve muscle tension and pain, reduce stress, promote sleep, and boost immunity. Prices: 60 Min. – $95; 90 Min. – $130 Sports The benefits of a sports massage are numerous: improved flexibility, reduced risk of injury, and a boosted circulatory system. Sports massage differ from other types of massage because they incorporate targeted therapeutic treatment for the biomechanical needs of athletes and/or a myofascial release massage which is the application of gentle, sustained pressure on soft tissue, both of which help with flexibility and increase range of motion. Prices: 60 Min. – $95; 90 Min. – $130 Trigger Point Trigger point therapy involves the application of pressure to tender muscle tissue to relieve pain. This type of massage targets muscle 'knots' and uses sustained pressure to alleviate or relax the 'knot'. Trigger Point massage may require several sessions to see significant results, however most people experience some relief after their first session. Prices: 60 Min. – $95; 90 Min. – $130 Reflexology Reflexology involves the application of pressure to the feet and hands. It is gentle manipulation or pressing on certain parts of the foot to produce an effect elsewhere in the body. Prices: 15 Min. – $20; 30 Min. – $30 Prenatal Prenatal massage therapy is performed during pregnancy and studies show it can help reduce anxiety, decrease symptoms of depression, relieve muscle aches, and improve labor outcomes and newborn health. Prices: 60 Min. – $85; 90 Min. – $115 Fire Cupping (Anna Only) Through suction, the skin is drawn into the cup by creating a vacuum in the cup placed on the skin over the targeted area. The vacuum can be created either by the heating and subsequent cooling of the air in the cup, or via a mechanical pump. It is believed to help treat pain, deep scar tissues in the muscles and connective tissue, muscle knots, and swelling. Prices: 10 Min.
